Technology Addict

My career in the creative segment of modern work started out at age 14 when i discovered the possibilities Adobe Photoshop offers for retouching awful teenage selfies. A little further down the line i pursued that fascination in a dedicated design branch of the high-school i visited, followed by a few confused years of searching for a field i was permanently happy with.
Today i combine that design background with other creative and programming skills i acquired along the way in my work as a freelancer to create multi-media experiences for businesses of all sizes and love the diversity of work it brings.
The curriculum at HSRM is very dominated by software development with specialized classes on planning and implementing software of all kinds, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, computer graphics and vision as well as more design-focused courses.
While i still had not discovered my passion of combining creativity and logic in interactive media i studied 2 semesters at AVA. Here i learned quite a lot about abstraction, creative conception, traditional graphic design and different kinds of art.
As i try to work with people, not just for them, i think it's only appropriate to talk about me as a person, so you, too, know who you're working with.
With my mother being an art teacher and my father having worked in physics and programming in the past i think it's no surprise that i value the combination of creative and rational thinking during a project. Give me a problem and i will have many different approaches to attack it, with only my perfectionis sometimes getting in the way of the fun i have during the process.
Another thing is that i never stop learning. Give me a weird project idea and a technology i have never worked with and i'll most probably dive right in, which leads to things like me learning to cut my own hair or spending a lot of time lettering with brushpens. Or writing an Android app without knowing a thing beforehand. The list just goes on.
I guess the only downsides to working with me are getting 5 messages while you're sleeping and having to deal with my anxiety-fueled IBS! (Remote work has it's benefits) As you see i can also not hide my preference for a less serious approach to life. Work is already serious enough.
